Tourism: Work to assist in promoting the Visitor-serving economic base which is the City of Dana Point's largest income-generator. The businesses include hotels/motels/resorts, restaurants, retail and all businesses that benefit from tourism.

Festival of Whales Street Faire: The Annual city-wide Festival of Whales attracts over 80,000 people to celebrate the Annual Migration of the Gray Whale. The Street Faire held on the first week-end in March is a major fundraising event for the Chamber and attracts up to 7-10,000 visitors.

Ambassadors/Membership: The goodwill arm of the Chamber. Required attendance- to be official greeters at Mixers, Membership Breakfasts, Ribbon Cuttings,Grand Openings and other special events. Participation helps to promote your business and helps new members feel welcome. Includes monthly Ambassador Luncheons and Business Walks. A great way to network. To communicate with members, on behalf of the Chamber, soliciting feedback and opinions on Chamber services and programs.

Promotes membership development through communications with non-members as to the benefits of membership using as testimonial, benefits you've received through participation and by taking full advantage of marketing and networking opportunities. Welcoming new members and keeping in touch with existing members by calling or e-mailing to invite them to participate in the chamber opportunities. 

Education: This Committee is dedicated to joint participation of the Chamber and the education community to the benefit of our students. Annually, education scholarships are awarded along with recognition of "Educator of the Year"and "Student Employee of the Year".

Legislative/City affairs Committee: Monitor crucial governmental meetings and obtain information on issues of concern to the business community. Report to the Chamber any impact various proposals may have on the business community. State, county and local government will be monitored.

Business Development: This Committee works in the areas of economic growth, enhancing public safety and effectively working in partnership with City government and City staff.  This committee works concurrently with the Legislative/City Affairs Committee.

- To recognize businesses that have contributed to the asthetic improvement of the community.

Citizen of the Year and Business of the Year - To select and recognize each of these categories at the Chamber's Annual Installation and Awards Dinner.
